Holi – It is the festival of colours. Celebrated mainly in North India, the festival has an important religious significance attached to it. Friends and family gather together wearing white clothes and throwing powdered colour on each other. Sometimes they even use what is known as a pichkari to splash colour water on each other! But, what is off-season is this festival! It is celebrated in March and not in June! If you are in India in March, stay on for the festival!
